Art doll SCULPTURE elf - fairy by pixiwillow Art doll SCULPTURE elf - fairy by pixiwillow
One of my only larger doll sculptures - The elf queen stood about 20 inches tall, and the little faerie was only 4 in. long. They were both sculpted in polymer clay. She has a soft body, icicle crown, white yearling angora mohair and is dressed in silk. The fairy has cicada wings.

Do you paint these, the skin tones etc, or is the clay already pigmented like that?

Oh wow, I didn't know that this was one of yours. I came across this image somewhere on the net a couple of years ago and had saved the image. Might have been ebay...? Anyways, these are gorgeous!!
I adore the Elf Queen, she is so beautiful. But why is she crying?

:jawdrop: This is one of the most beautifully made sculptures I have seen. The way you photographed her also adds to the magical quality. Though I would love to know the story behind why the queen is crying.
